Jul 25, 2023 · Jan 17, 2024. #5. I loaded the Berger 180 VLD Hunting with H1000, ADG brass, and CCI 34 primers. 68.6 grains is a true winner at a COL of 3.300" and 3.3340". Both groups were sub-MOA and put me near 3k fps. 3.300" yielded 2980 fps and 3.3340" yielded 2993 fps with SDs of 5.0 and 6.7, respectively. I am working on a 6 PRC and have done a couple 25 PRCs and havent had any issues with Berger LRHT bullets spinning fast. 7 twist 25 PRC pushing the 135 at 3250fps = 334,285 rpm. 6 PRC 7.5 twist pushing the 109 LRHT at 3500fps = 336,000 rpm. Its certainly pushing it hard and other variables will come into play when running on the edge like that.

Hey sir, tagging in here. I just built up a 7 PRC on a 22” proof prefit and terminus action. I’ve shot factory ELD-M and CX through it to this point (120 rounds). I don’t have a chrono yet but the ELDM was way slow using drops but the CX seems to be at normal speeds (~3000 fps) validated out to 1000 yards.
